This session provides a comprehensive introduction and overview of the Lean Six Sigma concept, methodologies, and tools.
Attendees will gain an understanding of what Lean Six Sigma is, where and how it can be applied, and why it is so effective. We will cover LSS certification exam prep and provide valuable tools and resources to help attendees apply the concepts in their professional life.
The webinar will begin with an overview of the foundation, history, and definition of Lean and Six Sigma. The focus of “six sigma” is on reducing variation in processes and enhancing process control, while “lean” addresses the reduction of waste and promotion of standardization. In combination, Lean Six Sigma provides a powerful, reliable, and data-driven solution for performance improvement, efficiency, and quality control.
We will explore the core LSS framework for process improvement known as “DMAIC” – Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control.
The DMAIC process is at the center of the Lean Six Sigma approach. Through this exploration attendees will gain an understanding of how the DMAIC approach can be applied in their own workplace:
Our review of the DMAIC process improvement lifecycle will include a review of the key tools associated with each phase of DMAIC, giving attendees a wealth of resources to apply in their own projects. We’ll also discuss strategies for problem solving, and the roles and responsibilities normally required for a successful LSS implementation at each phase.
Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is a globally recognized methodology that enables individuals and organizations to improve performance, increase quality, optimize processes, and reduce waste.
It is widely adopted by major corporations and organizations including Amazon, Google, Nike, General Electric (GE), Microsoft, Pfizer, Ford Motor company, Dell, Boeing, Bank of America, Staples, Northrop Grumman, the US Army and US Marine Corps.
In fact, more than half of the Fortune 500 companies use Six Sigma to save an estimated $427 billion annually.
As an employee or a jobseeker, Six Sigma competence shows a commitment to and understanding of quality, project management, performance assessment and analysis, problem-solving, programmatic troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
A Lean Six Sigma certification is a highly respected and valued credential across industries in the corporate, government, healthcare, academic, and non-profit sectors. LSS certification is the mark of an individual’s leadership potential and the ability to methodically analyze existing situations, create solutions, and execute improvements that can transform organizations.
Any person looking to advance their career, improve their organization’s performance, or stand out in a highly competitive job market, will benefit from an understanding of the Lean Six Sigma concepts, methods, and tools.
